What a pain in the neck!

Sore throats.  It was a sore throat that started it all for me.  My daughter, who was 12 at the time, had a yearly strep infection for around 10 years.  Sometimes more than once a year.  I was tired of the merry-go-round that is the medical system in our world. 

You know what I’m talking about.  Your child gets a sore throat.  You call the pediatrician, hoping this doesn’t happen on Friday afternoon or a weekend.  Then you go to the appointment that they scheduled in between other appointments.  You go and sit in a waiting room full of other sick children.  And you wait and you wait.  When you finally get to see the doctor for all of 5 minutes, he says, “Looks like strep.  I’ll do a rapid test.  In the meantime, here’s a prescription for an antibiotic.  You can pay the receptionist at the door.”

Then you give your child a wild pink drink for 10 days.  Then you deal with the UTI or the yeast infection.  Which often land you back in the doctor’s office. Rinse and repeat yearly; round and round we go. What a pain in the neck!

I was done.  The next infection she had, I paid closer attention to her symptoms.  In homeopathy, symptoms are king! 

• Her throat was a dark bluish-red color. 

• She said it only hurt on the left side; sometimes going from the left to the right. 

• She would rather spit her saliva into a cup than swallow it and refused all food and drinks. 

• Any hot drink was the worst! 

• She wouldn’t allow anything to touch her throat.

Any idea what remedy I reached for?  Lachesis! 

According to Dr. Robin Murphy, Lachesis was first introduced to homeopathy by Dr. Hering.  He was studying botany and zoology in the Amazon.  Lachesis is made from the Bushmaster Snake venom.  This snake grows up to seven feet in length.  It has fangs nearly an inch long, with a reddish-brown skin marked along the back with black, brown rhomboidal spots.

Thankfully with homeopathy, we don’t have to worry about remedies made from poisonous substances.  The dose you are giving your little one is so minute that it takes an extreme nanoparticle microscope to see it!  But that minute dose is enough that the body sees it and uses it to heal itself.

Two doses later, my sweet girl was back to her normal self.  No side-effects.  No nasty UTI.  No hefty doctor bills.  She did have a similar sore throat 3 more times before she became an adult.  But each time the pain was less severe until she no longer suffered from chronic strep throats.  And to this day, has not suffered from them again.

For the cost of around $10, she didn’t have to go to the doctor for strep throat again.  That little bottle lasted us the other three times she got it. Huge time and money saver!
