Would it surprise you that I am asked about remedies for bedwetting weekly? It’s true. It can be embarrassing for children and parents need a gentle solution.
It’s usually prefaced with, “no other reasons.” During the day the child is fine and able to hold it, but at night it’s the same wet story. There could be many reasons for bedwetting; food allergies, parasites, immature bladder, too much water before bed, and too much sugar. This is NOT an exhaustive list.

Most parents are at a loss as to what to do. Maybe they experienced this as a child, too. Bless the child’s heart. It’s embarrassing to be too old to wet the bed. They know it. But they can’t control it. Wetting the bed is not usually a conscious choice made by children. When moms ask other moms at a playgroup for ideas, the solutions can be brutal. I once heard of a little girl who had to sleep on a mat that would create this horrible alarm when it got wet. No thanks. But no one has any gentle solutions! There is frustration all around.
Of course, we have no reason for frustration. Homeopathy has a gentle solution!
Homeopathy to the bedwetting rescue
You know my love affair with cell salts. They’re inexpensive. They taste great. They’re gentle. There is no way to overdose or take too much. All I hear is, “win, win, win!”
Ferrum phos 6x mixed with Nat phos 6x is a wonderful, gentle tonic to help the bladder sleep when the body sleeps. Put 3-4 tablets of one in your child’s mouth. Before they chew or swallow them up, put 3-4 tablets of the other. It’s that easy. I’m all about simplicity around here.
Ferrum phos has wonderful actions on the bladder where there is a frequent desire to urinate, when there is nightly bedwetting, and when there is a lot of fluid in the bed every morning.
Nat phos is amazing for assisting the body when there is too much acid. It also has a marked effect when there is frequent urination or the frequent urge to urinate.

Although mixing remedies is not without controversy in the homeopathy community, I like to live dangerously. Kidding, I don’t. But, I have no problem mixing cell salts. These little gems are a perfect way for a beginner and experienced mom to use homeopathy. If you are a beginner and would like to take a closer look at homeopathy, consider taking my Legacy of Healing class. However, if you are experienced and would like to begin to study homeopathy more in-depth, consider joining the Pride of Healing Community.
What if the bedwetting continues?
If you try this tonic for a few weeks and nothing is getting better, your child may need some deeper-acting remedies. Bedwetting can be a body’s way of showing that a deeper issue is happening. If that’s the case, I would recommend contacting a homeopath you trust to help you narrow down what remedy your child needs. I’m happy to help.
Let me know if these cell salts help your child overcome this embarrassing situation.
