When I was first learning homeopathy, over 18 years ago, there were two other moms who held monthly study meetings. One woman hosted the meetings in her home and the other brought her years of experience using homeopathy. It was a sweet time and lasted about 6 months. I had 4 young children at the time and relished both the mental stimulation and the fellowship of meeting with other moms.
Then I spent many, many years trying to figure it out on my own. I couldn’t afford to go to homeopathy school and the internet was strangely silent on the subject. It may not have been THAT silent, I just didn’t know where to go. I felt very alone and directionless. I would study the repertory but just didn’t understand how to use it. I would read the books but felt like most of the remedies I tried just didn’t work.

Confession time
I’ll admit I got so frustrated at the lack of knowledge, I may have bought a starter essential oil kit. I know. Scandalous! But, I needed a non-medical way to treat my family and I felt lost.
My husband, being the accountant that he is, was rather annoyed at the investment of remedies I had and was now investing in oils. And he pointed out, that there was less oil education than I had learned on my own with remedies. I tried to explain that I didn’t know what else to do. He said to me, “You’re a homeschooler. Find a curriculum.”
Wisdom from my husband
He wasn’t wrong. I did find a curriculum. I started teaching a class. Then I taught another class. The women, and one dad, who took my classes wanted to keep going. To keep learning together. I did too! But, we had finished the curriculum. So, I started my own study group. This one was online instead of someone’s living room. Once a month.
If all this sounds familiar, you are welcome to join us. This group is for those who have more than basic knowledge about homeopathy. We don’t cover the building blocks, but we deep dive into topics. We have our March meeting on March 21st at 7 p.m. CST. I spend a lot of time preparing for the topic. I also create beautiful printable notes for you to reference in the future.
Pride isn’t a bad word
I call this my Pride of Healing group. Because I’m from the South, I nickname everything and this group was shortened to my Pride meeting. It thoroughly upsets my Baptist preacher husband (yes, he’s an accountant too) that I have a monthly Pride meeting. But I know what pride I’m talking about. The Pride of lionesses ready to defend their family. The pride of treating one’s family in a safe and effective way. And seeing results!

This month, we are discussing Insomnia. And boy oh boy, have I learned a LOT while preparing! What a fascinating topic! Normally, my family politely listens as I go on and on and ON about whatever topic I’m currently studying. This month, my husband has thoroughly enjoyed learning along with me. The kids, well, sleep just fine and are still very polite.
You have time to join our group. Go HERE to register and I’ll send you the notes and Zoom link. I’d love to see our group grow. I’m loving watching the fire of homeopathy spread.
And, maybe we can change the modern meaning of the word “Pride.” One meeting at a time.
