It’s that week on the calendar that tells us we are to show love to our loves. But what about when that love turns into disappointment? Can homeopathy help something like disappointment in love and life in general? Absolutely!

I’m not a counselor, nor do I play one on TV. But everyone at some point has experienced disappointment in love. Maybe we set our expectations up way too high. So high that no mere mortal could fulfill those expectations. We do this with our romantic relationships, our friendships, and our relationships with our children. We need to remember the only One, Jesus Christ, that can live up to the hype of perfection.
However, when dealing with our earthly relationships we need to process our disappointment in love. Homeopathy offers us 5 lovely remedies to help. While homeopathy won’t take away the emotions or suppress them, it will make the feelings less sharp and allow us to filter them healthily.

- Calc phos – for those who have disappointment with exhaustion. The person becomes discontent and dissatisfied. They are also full of negative thoughts.
- Ignatia – for those who have acute disappointment with shock, especially after a disappointment in love.
- Natrum mur – for those who have suffered many disappointments and suffered inwardly on their own. They have sunk into their grief but will put on a brave face despite it all.
- Phosphoric acid – for those with disappointment with apathy. They become exhausted both mentally and physically. After a relationship ends they may grieve their disappointment silently.
- Staphysagria – for those who have disappointment with resentment and anger. They often say, “How could this happen to me?”
When disappointment becomes too much
If you find yourself with chronic disappointment or depression, I recommend you seek out a professional homeopath or a Biblical counselor. It can be really hard to treat yourself with these emotions. We’re just too close to see the big picture. You can set up an appointment with me by going HERE or you can find another homeopath by looking HERE. Please note that I do not personally know the homeopaths on that list so I cannot vouch for them or tell you anything about them. But I want you to have as many options as possible.
This a reminder that registration for the March Legacy of Healing beginning homeopathy class is now open! It’s a great time to start your homeopathic journey. You can read more about that class and register HERE.
